• 3 Nomination were received for the post of General Secretary, and 1 Nomination for the post of President. All the nominations have been found to be correct, All 4 have been accepted, non has been rejected. 
• For the President: 1 SOLO nomination from Sh Dheeraj Bajaj has been accepted. 
• For Gen. Secretary: The 3 Nominations accepted are as: Sh. Rajeshdeep Goyal, Sh. Sanjeev Munjal and Sh. Sansar Bhushan Diwakar. 
• All the above candidates are free to with draw their nominations till the evening of 29th June 2012. 
• As there is only a SOLO application for the post of President hence the President remains unopposed. If he continues to be a candidate (i.e. does not apply for his with-drawl of nomination) then he can be installed President in the Gen House Meeting as scheduled. 
• For the General Secretary post, election if necessary will be held on 1st July or at later date in consultation with the working committee of HUJ.

• The Nominations forms can be held and submitted from 25th June to 27th June.
• Only bonafide full members who are members since last 2 years or more can apply.
• Associated Member cannot apply for candidature, but they have right to vote.
• Please return the completed form hard copy (print out) personally (in person) before 08:00PM, 27th June 2012 to the Returning Officer:- GS Mann 262, B Block SIRSA (Opposite Law College, Near Durga Mandir) Mobile 9215300307 & 9416046307

• 1 Color Photograph passport size (1.5X1.5 aprox.) is required to be pasted on the Form.
• A Declaration Form is to be submitted along with the main nomination form.
• Every Applicant shall have one proposer, the proposer should be a full member and not an associated member. 
• A proposer can also be a candidate but for a post other than he has proposed. (e.g. a candidate for the post of president can propose for a person for the post of Gen Secretary and vice versa)
• There is NO fee or security deposit for the forms or candidature etc.
• Scrutiny shall be carried on 28th June 2012.
• Withdrawals of the Nominations are possible before 8:00PM on 29^th June, 2012
• Venue: Elections may take place on 1st of July, 2012 at 09:00AM at Sirsa Club, Sirsa. (Subject to availability of above Venue on this date or on a venue that may be notified later, keep checking this website for any changes)

Other instructions:

• Proxy Voting is not allowed.
• Results and outcome of the elections shall be final and binding and cannot be challenged.
• Toss in case of tie.
• An applicant can fill nomination for both posts, but has to withdraw one on withdrawal date, if he or she does not withdraw one out of the two forms, both applications shall stand rejected.
• Election by Secret Ballot Poll.

Dr. Gajendra Singh Raghav was elected unanimously while election was held for the post of Gen. Secretary, Sh. Dheeraj Bajaj won by a large number of votes. The result was declared on the same date as of polling i.e. 11 July 2010.

The process of scrutiny is complete; there were total eight applications, 3 for the post of the President and 5 for the post of the General Secretary. All the eight applications have been accepted. The last date for withdrawls is 9^th July 2010 till 9PM. The withdrawl form is available online on link below, the same can be filled up and e-mailed also from the Registered E-mail (REM) of the candidate. The form sent via REM does not need a signature, the form sent through REM can be accepted even till 12:00 noon on 10th July, the form sent as hard copy needs signature of the candidate. The REM is the email that has been mentioned by the Candidate in his or her nomination form, no other e-mail ID shall be considered valid. As Notified earlier the tentative date for the elections of HUJ was scheduled for July 4^th 2010 in consultation with HUJ Working Committee, however, the elections could not be held on 4^th July. Now the elections are scheduled on 11^th July Sunday 10AM onwards at Hotel Jai Villas NH 10 SIRSA.

Again it is sole responsibility of The Working committee of HUJ to make arrangements for the Elections, choosing the date and venue, in case of rescheduling of the date, spreading the information about the date of venue of elections etc. The RO and ARO have no role or liability about this. However the information shall be made available on this website as and when it is communicated to RO/ARO.
