The process of scrutiny is complete; there were total eight applications, 3 for the post of the President and 5 for the post of the General Secretary. All the eight applications have been accepted. The last date for withdrawls is 1^st July 2010 till 9PM.

Important:

As Notified earlier the tentative date for the elections of HUJ is scheduled for July 4^th 2010 in consultation with HUJ Working Committee, however, it is sole responsibility of The Working committee of HUJ to make arrangements for the Elections, choosing the date and venue, in case of rescheduling of the date, spreading the information about the date of venue of elections etc. The RO and ARO have no role or liability about this. However the information shall be made available on this website as and when it is communicated to RO/ARO

The Nominations forms can be held and submitted from 23rd June to 25th June.

Only bonafide full members who are members since last 2 years or more can apply.

Associated Member cannot apply for candidature, but they have right to vote.

1 Color Photograph passport size (1.5X1.5) is required to be pasted on the Form.

A Declaration Form is to be submitted along with the main nomination form.

Every Applicant shall have one proposer, the proposer should be a full member and not an associated member. A proposer can also be a candidate but for a post other than he has proposed. (e.g. a candidate for the post of president can propose for a person for the post of Gen Secretary and vice versa)

There is NO fee or security deposit for the forms or candidature etc.

Scrutiny shall be carried on 26th June 2010.

Withdrawals of the Nominations are possible before 8:00PM on 1st July, 2010

Venue: Elections may take place on 4th of July, 2010 at 10:00AM at Laxmi Sweets, Sirsa. (Subject to availability of above Venue on this date or on a venue that may be notified later, keep checking this website for any changes)

Other instructions:

Proxy Voting is not allowed.

Results and outcome of the elections shall be final and binding and cannot be challenged.

Toss in case of tie.

An applicant can fill nomination for both posts, but has to withdraw one on withdrawal date, if he or she does not withdraw one out of the two forms, both applications shall stand rejected.

HUJ SIRSA ELECTIONS

The Annual process of Electing / Nominating office bearers is now on the anvil. Haryana Union of Journalists Distt SIRSA Chapter, shall go to elections in the Month of July, the nomination dates shall be announced via this website as well through press and media releases very shortly.

The venue and date of holding of elections shall be decided and arrangements shall be made by the working committee of the HUJ for the same, this venue and date shall also be announced on this site as well as through press and media.

As in 2008 elections, an attempt is being made this time also to make available the Nomination Forms and other election related information online via this website.

Please note that the elections shall be held only for two posts; The President and The General Secretary.
